About the show

Listen to Shannon Medaglia on the "WORK ESCAPE WEEKENDS" from 11am-6pm Saturday and Sunday. She keeps your weekends light with her own dry sense of humour.

Shannon started out in Edmonton and attended Holy Trinity High School and Concordia University where she graduated with a B.A. in Sociology. She’s been in radio for over five years, living in Chatham, Ontario. But, Shannon missed Edmonton and wanted to come home. Fortunately, she didn’t come home empty handed - she brought along her new husband and a fuzzy cat named “Meatball”.

With a taste for “spooky” movies, Shannon’s favourite day of the year is Halloween and she swears if she weren’t in radio she’d be a Criminologist or a Prison Guard.

With a dry sense of humour, Shannon is bound to crack you up from time to time!

The EX is coming, the Ex is coming!!! The Capital Ex will be here and the big parade to start everything off will be happening July 17 (Thursday) downtown. It starts at 10 am and goes until 12:30 so if you have the day off you can go downtown and check it out or if you work in that area take a peak out your window. If you do go down make sure you keep a look out for the EZ Rock Family Fun Cruiser - it will be down there with its solar panels and Guitar Hero 3. If you haven't played that game yet then its worth it just to go downtown and have some fun being a Guitar god!! You can also enter to win the TV and Wii AND Guitar Hero 3 that you've tried out too so don't mis out on it.
Which rides do you plan to go on when you go to the Ex? I've never been one for big rides but I used to go on a few of them. One day in highschool though a friend made me go on the Mind Bender and since that day I just haven't been right. So I'm going to the Ex with my husband and a friend (one of the copy writers here) - Barb and her husband and I will be in charge of holding the bags and coats while they go on the rides. Oh I'm not bitter or sad...I actually enjoy seeing their sick little faces as they wobble off the ride more than going on the ride. That and I wanna eat my mini donuts and keep them down!!!
