Making Christmas Special

When my son was 7 years old I decided that he needed a little excitement on Christmas Eve.  At about 10pm I went out in the backyard with an old hockey stick and a ring of small brass bells on a string.  I used the hockey sticks to make tracks in the snow that would look like a sleigh had landed in our backyard.  I then made reindeer tracks in front of the sleigh tracks.  I told my wife to wake up my son and tell him that dad had found Santa and the reindeer in our backyard and that I was holding on to them so he could see them.  I had rubbed snow all over me and in my hair.  When my son came to the back door I explained that I had a fight with Rudolf and he, Santa and the other reindeer had gotten away.  The only thing I managed to keep was the brass bel
