L.A. Carpool

Los Angeles based latin/rock band L.a. Carpool has been able to combine traditional Latin rhythms, mainly Salsa, rock, and funk ,in a particular way, getting its own place in the local scene. Led by ex-Xavier's backup vocalist Faith Rivera, who mostly sings in English, the band's first album, called The Worlds Collide, was released in the year 2000, getting the hit "Mi Guajira," and followed by 2001's Havana Taxi. ~ Drago Bonacich, All Music Guide
