Another busy weekend in Edmonton!

Just looking over all the things taking place this weekend - let's just hope the weather cooperates. Tomorrow Cheryl is heading off the the Crystal Kids 10th Annual Car and Bike Show and Shine - Street Dance and BBQ fundraising event from NOON to 11PM at the Sherbrooke Community Hall. This will be great family event. She mentioned heading downtown for the Downtown Farmers Market as well - it goes every Saturday rain or shone on 104th Street just north of Jasper from 9AM-3PM.

Also tomorrow, it's the Freedom Run for the Alberta Diabetes Foundation is tomorrow at Broadmoor Lake Park in Sherwood Park and the 2009 Spring Sprint for the Brain Tumor Foundation of Canada is tomorrow at Hawrelak Park - rain or shine.

If you love dogs and who doesn't, the 5th Annual Tails on the Tails Fundraising Dog Walk and BBQ is at Lions Park in St. Albert - tomorrow from 11AM-2PM. You can down load a registration form on their website (www.scarescare.org) or just show up with your dog - make a donation and enjoy the day.

There's a sale of beautiful designer hand knit items such as sweaters, scarves, shawls all made by the women's knitting cooperative in Bolvia at the Windsor Park Community Hall. The proceeds go back to these woman who live in the poorest country in South America. (www.minkhasweaters.com)

Then on Sunday, it's the Walk to Cure Diabetes - Hawrelak Park and the Heart of the City Festival from 11 to 9 at Caboto Park in Little Italy. It's a free festival for the whole family that showcases the diverse music and art scene in Edmonton. (www.hotcmf.com)
