The Free Will Shakespeare Festival is on again in Hawrelack Park at the Heritage Amphitheatre. The plays this year are A Comdey Of Errors and Titus Andronicus. It's on until July 26th. The plays alternate on odd and evening nights and there ARE matinees but they're only on Saturdays and Sundays. To get your tickets or to get a schedule just give Tix On The Square a call 780-420-1757. It makes the perfect summer evening date night or night out with the family....or even just for a picnic and a show. Let me know which play you liked!

Hooray its time for the Street Performers Festival - that starts this Friday!! So if you're in the downtown area stop by and join in the fun. They have amazing acts, I remember last year there was a man there that could bend forks and spoons with his mind! There were also acrobats that had balance like I couldn't even imagine! And all it costs is a donation to the performers after the show. Good summertime fun - make sure you check out the community events calender so you don't miss out on anything happening in town!

The Capital Ex Parade is coming - HURRAY!!!! And I have a way for you to enjoy the parade, clean out your closet and feel good about yourself ALL at the same time!! The Chapel of Chimes is located right on the parade route (10179-108st) and they're holding a clothing drive on the day of the Capital Ex parade. So go through your closet - get rid of all those gently used clothes that you don't wear any more...you know because your diet's been working so well...or maybe hasn't been working so well, put it in a bag and make your way down to help out a good cause!

They Come In Threes

Hollywood has suffered this week like crazy! Ed McMahon passed away earlier in the week and then on Thursday Micheal Jackson AND Farrah Fawcett passed away - one shocking, one we could see coming - all three really sad! CNN and all the entertainment shows are all about MJ right now - poor Farrah kind of got lost in the shuffle. What I found really interesting though is that Micheal Jackson had the number one selling album of all time "Thriller" and Farrah had the number one selling poster of all time - her iconic pose in the red bathing suit - I'm sure some of you have it up still in your garage. In any case - they will all be missed...but I guess hollywood should be safe for a few years.
