The self-titled debut by New York's A Day For Honey encompasses many musical genres -- heavy metal, hardcore, alternative, and psychedelia. And they have the strong songwriting it takes to embellish their unusual song ideas. The ethereal beauty of such spacy early-'90s Brit-pop bands as My Bloody Valentine and Lush are merged with the massive riffs of Helmet and Soundgarden, and it works far better than expected.
