The first of several singles compilations for this prolific punk trio, Camels transcends its lo-fi boundaries with clever songwriting and an ear for pop hooks. Considering the lyrical subjects here are often downbeat observations (songs such as "Sound of Mariachi Bands" and "Misery" feel as if they were penned on a cocktail napkin just prior to last call), the songs are uptempo and full of effortless bounce.
